Causes Celestielle Supports
Celestielle believes in sustainable travel and in helping to improve the lives of others. We donate to at least one of the causes below for each trip we plan. We invite you to read more and to contribute as well.
BC Women’s health foundation
BC Women’s Health Foundation, British Columbia’s largest non-profit organization, is dedicated to advancing the full spectrum of women’s health. Celestielle supports women’s access to the highest quality of healthcare.
CARBON FUND
Celestielle supports Carbon Fund, which is leading the fight against global warming. We offset our greenhouse gas emissions by contributing to Carbon Fund, which invests in energy efficiency, forestry, and renewable energy projects that “offset” the carbon footprint of motorized travel.
International Rescue Committee
We donate to The International Rescue Committee (IRC), which responds to the world's worst humanitarian crises by helping affected people to survive and rebuild their lives. We consider ourselves to be global citizens and we believe that we must help our fellow human beings around the world.
Nothing But Nets
Nothing But Nets was Celestielle's first cause. The organization provides insecticide-treated mosquito nets to protect families from malarial mosquitoes. We frequently travel to different countries where malaria is prevalent and we want to help those who are susceptible with this simple and effective solution.
